Despite the lofty name U-Tapao Rayong Pattaya International Airport, the airport, which is still administered by the Royal Thai Navy in Sattahip, offers very limited connections to Pattaya and other destinations such as Rayong.
Passengers have to make do with taxis or organise their own travel.
It is therefore not surprising that the almost unrivaled cab drivers take advantage of this in their own way and charge, for example, up to 850 baht (and more) for the 35 km trip to Pattaya ....

Every few months, the police remind business owners that reserving parts of public roads as private parking is against both traffic law and the "Act on the Maintenance of the Cleanliness and Orderliness of the Country BE2535 (1992)". Incidentally, the same applies to the use of public parking spaces as business premises, e.g. for motorbike rental.
Although our law enforcement officers drive through the affected streets several times a day, they turn a blind eye to the violations.
Obviously, the whole thing is no more than occupational therapy for the respective press officer ....

The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes that you can prepare yourself. However, the menu is mainly geared towards Thai customers. Open everyday Monday-Sunday from 16:00 to 23:00.
For non-Thais, we still recommend the Buffet on North Road, directly opposite the famous bus station.

On May 12th, Dynamite Entertainment closed the A Go-Go & Coyote bar they operated at the Soi Buakhao / Soi 15 intersection for good.
The venue received its customers only for a short period of time: It opened at the end of October 2022.

The Nashaa Club, which was rebuilt after last year's fire, will probably need some more time before it can resume operations. However, its new façade indicates that all the gold sequins from the failled Bing Club have been transported from Soi Buakhao to Walking Street ....

After the Songkran festival, the Marine Disco has also reopened, but with a broken neon sign, a malfunctioning escalator and a lack of crowds.
