Emercency Decree extended
Click into picture for original size
Lifted
On Friday August 19th 2022, then Prime Minister1 Prayut Chan-O-Cha agreed to lift the Emergency Decree and dissolve the Centre For Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on October 1st, 2022. During a meeting on September 22nd the CCSA agreed to cancel the state of emergency starting from October 1st, 2022 - and to dissolve itself - as announced by The Nation Thailand on August 19th, 2022!
However, the decision has yet to be published in the Royal Gazette to make it official ...
The government insisted over and over again that the emergency decree was necessary to facilitate the swift and integrated implementation of measures to control Covid-19 for the sake of public safety.
This special law was enacted March 26th, 2020, and gave Prayut Chan-o-cha wide-ranging powers, including a ban on large gatherings to prevent anti-government protests2.
(1) On August 24, 2022, the Constitutional Court of Thailand suspended Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha from serving as the prime minister pending the deliberation on whether he had exceeded the constitutional term limit for premiership, Prawit Wongsuwan, Thailand's Minister of Defence - and a member of the Royal Thai Army (RTA) - became acting prime minister until the court makes a ruling on the issue.
(2) On August 2nd, 2022, the Royal Gazette published an order signed by Prayut Chan-o-cha as head of Centre for COVID-19 Situation Admistration (CCSA) banning protest and public gathering leading to infections. Citing small wave of infections, violators face up to 2 years jail and/or fine of up to 40'000 Baht. Order is effective August 1st, 2022.
Military reshuffle
The 2022 military reshuffle shows that the so-called ‘red rim' soldiers who are close to the king have taken over many key positions. This reflects the core problem of the Thai democratic transition.

Whoever was prime minister from 2014 to 2017, was it a ghost or what?
No!
Documents dated August 24th and 25th, 2014, clearly show that Prayut Chan-o-cha was appointed Prime Minister of Thailand on August 24th, 2014, by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Notorious liar?
Thaienquirer: Deputy PM Prawit defends his luxury watch ‘borrowing’ saga gaffe as will executor says dead friend had no such assets
Thailand's short-time Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan (August 25th, 2022 - September 30th, 2022) still claims that his late "friend" lent him the watches, even though the latter never owned such watches, according to his executor. On social media and in comments in the Bangkok Post, Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, a former general and bosom buddy of the dictator, is usually portrayed as Thailand's biggest liar.

Bangkok Post: Thailand bars anti-junta Myanmar model!
Thai immigration authorities are refusing entry to Thailand to Han Lay, a model and beauty pageant contestant from Myanmar who fled to Thailand after speaking out against the military coup in her home country. According to some sources, she was denied entry at Suvarnabhumi airport because she was on an Interpol alert. Other sources claim that Myanmar revoked her passport.
It seems that the military-controlled Thai government is still in cahoots with Myamar's murderous regime.

LAAB - Long Acting Antibody vaccines
Thailand's Ministry of Public Health announces plans to offer LAAB to Covid-19 patients who are at risk of complications, as well as some other groups.
According to a study published in Lancet Respiratory Medicine, LAAB can reduce covid-related serious illness and death by 50 % when administered within seven days of symptom onset. This reduction increases to 67 % when given within five days and to 88 % when given within three days of symptom onset.
Wearing a mask and cleaning your hands frequently with soap is a particularly good way of preventing infection with Covid-19 or other viruses.
Any nurse working in a hospital will tell you that Covid-19 is not over yet. It has also been shown that the number of cases always increases shortly after a major event.
Covid nasal spray
Covitrap Nasal Spray

Covitrap Nasal Spray available from October 1st
The new nasal spray was developed by Thailand's Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), the Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University, the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) and Hibiocy Company. It has been approved by the Thai Food and Drug Administration and will be available for the public to purchase starting on October 1st, 2022.
The spray is designed to coat the user's nasal cavities with a layer of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, which acts as a physical barrier against the virus. It must be used every six hours, up to three times a day.
With the new spray, at least one route of transmission can be ruled out. The virus must therefore, at least theoretically, enter the eyes or the oral cavity.
Maybe in the future, researchers will also give us a lozenge to get rid of the Covid-19 viruses in our throats - or an eye spray for our eyes.
Wearing a (neat) mask and cleaning your hands frequently with soap is still a good way of preventing infection with Covid-19 or other viruses. Any doctor or nurse will be happy to confirm this for you.

Salt is a vital foodstuff that nature still provides us with free of charge in abundance. It is naturally present in many foods. However, as salt is also a good flavour enhancer, it is added by industry to many products in far too large quantities.
Instead of limiting the addition of salt or banning it altogether, resourceful people have come up with the idea of a salt tax.
After the taxation of sugar in Thailand was put on hold due to the ongoing inflation, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation comes up with the glorious idea to tax salt.
It is correct to make people aware of the dangers of excessive salt consumption and perhaps also to teach in schools that excessive and one-sided consumption of food can cause damage to the body. But does it always have to be a tax where the flow of money is difficult to control and therefore often goes into the wrong pots?
