Additional holidays for some Bangkokians
Government and bank employees in Bangkok, Samut Prakan and Nonthaburi can look forward to a long weekend in mid-November: Because of the APEC meeting of various heads of state or their deputies, which has been planned by the government for a long time, they do not have to go to work on November 16th, 17th and 18th and can therefore spend five days in Pattaya (or anywhere else).
The dictator does everything so that at least his employees love him ....
No gambling in Bangkok, Police claim

Against one's better knowledge?
Responding to a statement by a group of local gamblers who claimed that there are more than 100 gambling dens operating in secret under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) the head of the National Police, Police General Damrongsak Kittiprapas, stressed on Wednesday that there are no gambling dens in the capital.
Same stupid claim as "there is no prostitution in Pattaya".

Warning of overstay
General Surachate Hakpan, nicknamed Big Joke, the former head of the Thai Immigration Department who is now deputy commander of the entire Thai police force after a fall from grace, is cracking down on foreigners who overstay.
By checking the passports or passport copies of tourists in the nightclubs of Walking Street and elsewhere, the men of Big Joke are once again ruining Thailand's image.
Apparently, the software used by the Thai Immigration Department to control tourists from their arrival through their stay until their departure is unusable - or the people are just too stupid to use it.

Cholesterol
Are we getting screwed again by Pfizer & Co.?
Statin

The United Kindom celebrated the National Cholesterol Month during October 2022. It was initiated by Heart UK and supported among others by Silence Therapeutics. Both organizations stir the fear of cholesterol.
Since many people no longer believe in the "serious consequences" of LDL, Silence Therapeutics has discovered Lp(a) or Lipoprotein(a) for themselves and their supporters (or vice versa).
Study the arguments of cholesterol proponents and opponents:
As someone who has suffered the pain of statins for 20 years, I can report today that my doctors have decided that I need to stop taking statins. In all these years, the drugs have not caused any significant change in my HDL/LDL levels. The body has always regulated itself and has always maintained "its optimal" levels.
The liver produces 75% of the cholesterol that circulates in our blood. The other 25% comes from food. Read WebMD Cholesterol 101 -- What Your Levels Mean
According to my doctors, their therapy was unsuccessful. At least my liver hasn't been damaged - only my wallet.
