Emergency Decree
On May 21st, 2021, the CCSA (the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration) - supervised by Thailand's Prime Minister, Dictator, Songwriter and the man of many words Prayut Chan-o-cha - extended the Emergency Decree for another two months through July 31st. This is the 12th extension of the special law since it was enacted March 26th, 2020. The government has insisted that the law has nothing to do with politics, despite its regular use against dissidents.
The special law was enacted March 26th, 2020, and gives Prayut Chan-o-cha sweeping powers, including a ban on large gatherings that prevents anti-government protests.
According to Natapanu Nopakun, a deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, interagency cooperation and integration under the decree is still necessary to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Thailand.

Covid-19
Think along
After Covid-19 vaccination with Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna, 84 people have died in Switzerland so far. Only Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna are approved in Switzerland.
Why does hardly anyone report on this?
Why does the media only report on problems and deaths with the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine?
Perhaps this could be the reason for the great silence:
The cost of a dose of the coronavirus vaccine
GER = Germany A scientist in Europe told us that it is not the vaccine from Oxford-AstraZeneca that poses a problem, the problem is Pfizer, he claimed with a smile

Thailand's Jab Plan
Updated: The Thai government has already suspended the widely advertised vaccine registration via its Mor Prom app. The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) blames "increasing confusion" for the suspension. The platform will now only track and certify vaccinations.

Thailand's Covid-19 Management Plan
As of June 11th, 2021
Our Opinion
The recent sandbox battle over Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and other travel destinations shows once again that the predominantly military-dominated Thai government does not really understand the needs of tourists. The Big Boys don't even understand how the tourism industry works.
Constantly changing regulations do not attract tourists to the country, they scare them away!

Tourist tracking
Contrary to reports in some media, the tracking bracelets are only intended for people who do not have a working mobile phone with the tracking application installed or who refuse to install the application.
A PCR test will be conducted on all guests upon arrival in Phuket. After that, guests have to wait 12 hours in their room for their results!
It's not fake news, it's a joke!

Vaccine Hope for Foreigners
While Koh Samui is doing nails with heads and making clear statements, Pattaya's mayor Sontaya Kunplome and his City Hall are getting into their usual blah blah blah.
CCSA spokesman Natapanu Nopakun said on June 7th, 2021, that foreigners aged 60 or over, as well as those who have underlying diseases, can now register for vaccinations online at http://thailandintervac.com re-starting June 14th.
Other foreigners will be able to register online at a later period.

Covid-19
Approved Covid-19 Vaccines
As of May 28th, 2021
New data from a study conducted in the United Kingdom show that AstraZeneca's vaccine offers effective protection against the Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus, also known as the B.1.617.2 strain that was first detected in India.
Data from Public Health England (PHE), showed that two doses of the vaccine are 92% effective in preventing hospitalisations caused by the Delta variant, noting no deaths from the strain were reported.

Dirty Tap Water again
Same procedure as every year!
Despite the fact that Pattaya has virtually no tourists to accommodate this year, the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) finds itself obliged to supply households with dirty and at times smelly tap water for the third month this year. In addition, the water pressure will be temporarily reduced.
It is not a new phenomenon, the PWA has not been in control of Pattaya's water supply for decades.
We don't care
For years, Pattaya City Hall has been trying to sell the failed beach promenade as a mirror image of world-famous seaside resorts. But the big boys keep forgetting that the popular beaches do not only consist of some sand, but also of a well-tended promenade.
In the decades since Pattaya's existence, those in power have still not understood that the infrastructure also needs to be maintained, which is why everything is falling into disrepair in a very short time.
Jomtien
Waterpark reopens
Ramayana Waterpark announces that it will reopen, but on Weekends only.
Naklua
Freshly Baked
Harry Bakery, known from Jomtien and Soi Buakhao, opened a new outlet at the entrance to Naklua's Loma Market.
Closed
The whole area between Naklua Soi 31 and Soi 33 is cordoned off. All shops are closed.
Obviously something new is being planned in front of the new Akara Hotel. Pattaya
Terminal21
New parking area for motorcycles on top of the underground parking house.
Trending Cannabis
Guncha, one of the new Cannabis coffee shops on Pattaya Beach Road.
Drinking Street
The entire Drinking Street Bar Complex in the northern part of Pattaya Second Road right in front of Terminal21 is available for rent.
Hooters
Hooters claims to be open.
Red Cat
The Red Cat Bar, located just outside the Pattaya Police Station on the city's Beach Road, is available for rent.
Soi Buakhaow
#1 Pothole Street
If you want to do some real motocross, just visit Soi Chaiyapoon, off Soi Buakhao, on your bicycle or motorbike.
Since decades it's the number one pothole street in town!
As of today, June 11th, the road has a new surface!
The Warehouse is coming
The Warehouse Club is slowly taking shape. Managed by the BAKU Group, the venue replaces the badly failed Pook Plaza, a Ladyboy meeting place.
Woodstock goes Pattaya
In the rooms of the former Steak & Co. in Soi Lengkee an American BBQ restaurant called Woodstock will open soon.
Steak & Co. has generously found shelter in the neighbouring Smokin' Joe's BBQ eatery.
House of Licorice at Candyland
Candyland in the southern part of Soi Buakhao and to the left of the well-known Benelux Bar received additional signs, probably to describe the business type: House of Licorice and - a bit hidden - Freelance Bar - No Bar Fine.
Tree Town gears up
Tree Town gears up: From Cannabis to Sports Bars and Sluts....
Soi Buakhao does the same
The successor of the defunct Amazon Bar will be a bar too, not a mini market as widely speculated.
If you are a frequent visitor to Soi Chaiyapoon or Soi 7, it should be easy for you to guess who is the manager of this new bar.
Currently, a lot of work is being done on Soi Buakhao, but there are still a few shops available for rent - but significantly fewer than in other streets.
The End of the Game
On June 4th Colin from Retox Game On informed his customers: As you know we closed last week and after several mtgs/discussions etc with my two partners back in the UK it's been decided that we will not be opening up Retox Game On again, it will be listed soon. Thanks to all the lads on here that used to come in in the past year or so, we couldn't have made it this far without you.
The End of Tacos
Boss Bar as well as Senor Tacos, which until recently were located opposite Serenity Club A Go-Go, have been closed. Construction workers are already in the process of creating something new.
The 'villa' is for sale
Jasmine Villa, a small hotel with short-time rooms between Soi LK Metro and Soi Honey (Soi 11), is for sale.
If you are interested, please call 064 950 6336.
Now all we need is for the authorities to play along, give Soi Buakhao a large, truly walkable pavement, and make it one-way for vehicles.
Soi 6
Discover a brand new Soi 6
Enjoy a Royal Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner at Queen Victoria Inn or an aromatic coffee at the Soi 6 Coffee Shop and discover the whole new Soi 6 feeling!
Walking Street
Corona's Greetings
The entire Simons Bar Complex, 22 metres wide and 50 metres deep, is available for rent.
However, before making a decision, please read carefully the report published by Pattaya Mail on 9 March 2021 and review the current situation of City Hall's somewhat obscure neo-Pattaya plans.

Virus Warnings
Dengue Fever
While Thailand seems to have the corona virus under control, the situation with dengue fever, another viral disease, is extremely worrying in the Kingdom, especially during the rainy season.
Thailand's Public Health Officials advise people to make sure that there is no standing water around their homes, as this is a breeding ground for mosquitoes carrying the dengue virus.
Chikungunya
Another dangerous virus in this area is the Chikungunya virus. It is spread to people by the bite of an infected mosquito.
The most common symptoms of infection are fever and joint pain. Other symptoms may include headache, muscle pain, joint swelling, or rash.
The Chikungunya virus was found for the first time in the Americas on islands in the Caribbean in late 2013.
The virus was imported by infected travellers into new areas such as Thailand.
Currently there is no vaccine for prevention or medication to treat a Chikungunya virus infection.
Measles
Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by measles virus.
Symptoms usually develop 10–12 days after exposure to an infected person and last 7–10 days. Initial symptoms typically include fever, often greater than 40°C, cough, runny nose, and inflamed eyes. Small white spots may form inside the mouth two or three days after the start of symptoms. A red, flat rash which usually starts on the face and then spreads to the rest of the body typically begins three to five days after the start of symptoms.
Measles is an airborne disease which spreads easily from one person to the next through the coughs and sneezes of infected people.
No specific treatment is available but the measles vaccine is effective at preventing the disease and is exceptionally safe.
