Thailand's Dictator Prayuth Chan-o-cha in Hot Water
Thailand's Pheu Thai Party demands Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha and Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwan take responsibility for the alleged corruption in the Hua Hin project. It had to happen - or do you know one single country with an Army free of corruption?
As expected, Thailand's Army claims that an internal review into the billion-baht Rajabhakti Park found no evidence of corruption. However, when asked about the alleged illegal payment of commission fees, he said the media should ask his predecessor, General Udomdej Sitabutr...
Update (November 25th):
After almost everybody questioned Thai Army's very own review, the Army has to launch a fresh probe into the alleged irregularities at Rajabhakti Park, Bangkok Post reports.
Thailand's Dictator warns Obama
Thailand's Dictator Prayuth Chan-o-cha says he told U.S. President Barack Obama today that concerns about human rights violations in Thailand were partly based on inaccurate news presented by people with bad intentions. On November 13th Reporters Without Borders described Thailand's military government as a skillfully orchestrated crackdown on freedom of information. On Monday, November 16th, outgoing members of Thailand's National Human Rights Commission said the junta has trampled on human rights, while its way to power was paved by protests that occasionally violated constitutional rights to peaceful assembly.
Update (November 20th):
Just when the Dictator (mis)informed President Obama, the minions of his National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) ordered the Police to charge eight academics with violating the junta's ban on inciting unrest for a recent conference at which they told the regime to stop clamping down on free expression in universities.

Advanced Passenger Check System announced for the 5th time
Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, president of the Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT), announced that an advanced passenger background check system will be up and running at six airports from December 1st, 2015, to boost security through a thorough screening of all passenger profiles. The new procedure may lead to longer boarding times, he said. The installation of the Advance Passenger Processing System [APPS] has already been announced by AoT in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008. The company never gave a reason why it failed... Nevertheless, AOT will charge each air traveller 35 Baht/ticket for the 'upgraded security systems' at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai and Chiang Rai airports.

Thailand's Dictator Prayuth Chan-o-cha claims his use of Section 44 of the interim charter is to cut through red tape and run the government more effectively. He doesn't use it to run counter the achievement of democratic ideals. His word are the proof that Dictators tend to see the world with other eyes than ordinary people. For more information please read Prayut vows real democracy published by Bangkok Post.
The Sports World is laughing about the Fools of Bangkok
Bangkok's Standard Chartered Half Marathon on Sunday, November 15th, was not a 21-kilometer run through the steamy capital. Because of a 'technical error that happened during the half-marathon event' the runners had to pass an additional 7 kilometers, the world's most stupid sport organizers claim. For more information please read the reports published by Bangkok Post and KhaoSod english. Thailand's penchant for a lack of accountability is too common Pavida Pananond, an associate professor of International Business at Thammasat Business School and an avid runner, writes. Certainly, Thailand often behaves like a third-world country even though it has been shown to have first-world aspirations, the professor claims. Jet Ski Saga continues
The only way to solve the Jet Ski Saga is to get rid of some operators who are extorting the tourists, Mr. Sanit Boonachai, a Pattaya Congress Member, recommends. Pattaya's new regulation for Jet Ski Operators isn't exactly brilliant: Tourists allegedly damaging a Jet Ski will be charged 2'000 Baht by City Hall and another 3'000 Baht to cover the additional costs of the insurance company, Pattaya Daily News reports. City Hall's new regulation sounds like a rule introduced by the Italian Mafia...

Pattaya Daily News reports that Pattaya Police had to move another of their Black Sheeps from his duty after the Sergeant threatened some of Pattaya's citizens.
Pattaya Police protect Black Sheeps
Pattaya Police is protecting their black sheeps: Police Sergeant Tonatan not only drives his (big) motorbike without wearing a helmet, he also blocks a rescue vehicle from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya during driving a modified pick-up in his sparetime. All without disciplinary consequences, Pattaya One reports. Pattaya Daily News published some additional information about the notorious aggressive Police Sergeant.
Update November 3rd, 2015
Pattaya One reports that Pattaya Police Chief Police Colonel Sukthat decided to place Police Sergeant Tonatan three day in a prison located at Koh Si Chang. The rogue Sergeant will then be assigned to a desk job at Chonburi Provincial Police Headquarters for a period of 30 days. Furthermore he will not be allowed to work outside of Pattaya's Police Station for the foreseeable future. Bravo! (in Thai: Chaiyo!)

Update November 4th, 2015:
Today the Authorities set up a checkpoint on Pattaya Third Road to check registration documents of Pattaya's Motorcycle Taxi Drivers, Pattaya One reports. According to Thailand's Army only a small percentage of taxi drivers had correctly registered themselves and their vehicles until today... Moreover, Pattaya's Taxi Driver didn't adjust their transportation rates to the new rule: A friend of mine still has to pay 50 to 70 Baht for his daily 3.2 kilometer ride. According to the new rule the ride should cost no more than 35 Baht.

Bailey's goes Coyote
Bailey's, one of Soi 7's most beautiful bars, turned itself into an even more beautiful Coyote Bar. The new venue was set to open its door on Monday, November 23rd, 2015, but it didn't happen. Perhaps the monks, some ghosts or an other superstition stopped the management to open the bar. Nevertheless, you will read it here if Bailey's new activities should start.
Update (November 25th, 2015):
Bailey's opened its Coyote Bar on November 24th, 2015.
Short Life of a Master of none
Shonkys on Soi Post Office (Soi Praisani or SOI 13/2) closed. The Coyote Club, Bar, Restaurant, or anything else had a very short life: It opened during July 2015. Master of none businesses do not work anywhere in this world - not even in Pattaya. It's motto was One Way or Another. It had to go the other one...
New A Go-Go on Soi Yamato
PattayaSweethearts reports that the new A Go-Go Club announced last month opened on November 14th, 2015. We made the picture on November 18th and it shows that the new club still runs without any sign, but PattayaSweethearts reveals its name as Wonderful A Go-Go. The new A Go-Go bar is located on Soi Yamato between Wonderful Beer Bar and Las Vegas II A Go-Go. Let's hope it has a longer life than a Club once running on Walking Street without signs: It survived two month only...

The driver of this vehicle parked his car not only in a no parking zone, as all the other cars and motorcycle in this area, but also directly on the pedestrian crosswalk. Pattaya's lazy police ignore the violators since many months.
Bangkok's Kasetsart University recently started a new taxi service for students, lecturers and university staff. Sujinna Karnasuta from the Faculty of Environment's Department of Environmental Science says that the university wants to inspire people to go green and help reduce pollution. The new vehicle is convenient, safe and environmentally friendly, Sujinna says and adds that the battery-operated tricycle provides two additional passenger seats - but forget to tell the people that all kinds of electric vehicles use batteries and batteries are not only a threat to our planet during manufacturing, the 'Recycling' of batteries is still an unsolved problem in most countries but especially in Thailand. Moreover, as the picture shows, the distribution of the weight is far from being ideal: Most of the weight is placed on the rear axle. The tricycle overturns easily.
At Universities Students learn thinking first, but obviously not in Thaiand.

Enjoy Pattaya's Beach Promenade and its World Class Sandy Seashore
Pattaya City Hall is moving the sewage pipes far out to sea and is constructing some kind of small wastewater treatment plants in front of the Dusit Hotel in North Pattaya and across the entries to Soi 6 and Walking Street, very similar to the one City Hall 'runs' at Wongamat Beach.
Above pictures show Pattaya's wastewater treatment plant on Wongamat Beach, just in front of Centara's Mirage Hotel: Ruined and unusable since several years.
Wheelchair Path still blocked!
On Soi Phaniatchang, also known as Soi Yume or Soi Carrefour, City Hall spent 3 million Baht for a wheelchair path. Pattaya's large-hearted road users are happy to block the path with their vehicles and say thank you for the new parking lane. We publish and update this pictures since July 2014, but nothing ever happened - with the exception that some City's officials visited the site, promised to tackle the problem and disappeared with the wind without any consequences... It seems that nobody takes care of the about 850 students from the Soi's Redemptorist Vocational School - not even our lazy police. They close the eyes.
Obviously the 3 million Baht weren't spend to help the Handicapped,
but to fill up someone's pocket...

Thailand's Military Junta has authorised internet providers in Thailand to shut down any websites with content that threatens the national security or violates Section 112 (also known as lese majeste) "in 30 seconds" without seeking approval from any authority.
The move is seen in response to a lack of cooperation by foreign media companies in removing content the Thai government finds offensive. For example, 2014 Google did not remove any content requested by Thailand's Military Junta.

The Godfather's Story
Military Junta Leader and Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha pushed back general election promised for late 2015, saying that election must come with a new constitution and eleven reform areas. Therefore he can stretch election into 2016 or 2017... The Dictator and his wife have declared a joint worth of 128 million Baht in assets and 654'745 Baht in debt. He said he could not remember the details, but all of the items could be examined and verified. I can justify my personal wealth, he claims. On May 9th, 2013, the General sold nine plots of land totalling 50 rai located in Bangkok's Bang Bon district to 69 Property Co Ltd. The company has a British Virgin Islands address, was registered just 7 days before the deal and belongs to Thailand's liquor and property billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi. When Thaksin Shinawatra sold his AIS to Temasek Holdings, a company owned by the Government of Singapore, the very same Bangkok Elite called the deal a foulplay... Selling assets to a foreign company is a legal way for Thai citizens to avoid paying taxes, but it seems it is a big difference if a member of Bangkok's Elite does the deal or a newcomer from Chiang Mai. The Junta Leader ordered the media not publishing news about Thailand's former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Dictator Prayuth Chan-ocha claims that Thaksin Shinawatra violated Thailand's law.

NSA mass phone surveillance revealed by Edward Snowden ruled illegal

France a step closer to a surveillance state
France's Constitutional Council approved a law giving state intelligence services a lot more scope. Under the new law, surveillance agencies will be able to use so-called IMSI Catcher, spy devices that record all types of telephone, Internet or text-messaging conversations in an area. They will also be able to bug suspects' flats with microphones and cameras and add keyloggers to their computers to track every keystroke.
Let's hope the agencies will surveill President Francois Hollande's private but controversial love-life first.
NSA chief Admiral Michael Rogers declined to comment on the latest reports that the NSA implanted spyware on commercially made hard drives, and that it worked with British intelligence to hack into the world's biggest maker of SIM cards to be able to access mobile communications.
