Koh Larn's 'friendly' Beach Chair Vendor
Ever tried to sit down on the beach without renting a Beach Chair and an Umbrella?
This video shows what can happen - at least on Koh Larn (island).
It's time that Thailand's Army not only cleans up the Beaches of Pattaya and its islands, but also its Police, the City's administration and the Jet Ski vendors.
We just learned that Pattaya Police already arrested the 24 (or 25 or 28) - year old Cambodian for destroing the good image of Pattaya. Reports say that our lovely Police is investigating for the very same reason who spread the video clip on the social network...
Just a thought: Why our lovely Police do not arrest the scamming Jet Ski vendors too? They are destroying the good image of Pattaya since many years.
Efficiency à la Pattaya City Hall
Pattaya City Hall and its Boss, Pattaya Mayor Ittipol Khunpluem, like to praise the efficiency of their administration.
Fact is that Pattaya City Hall is far away from being an efficiently working community.
Four years ago residents informed Pattaya's Waterworks of a leaking water pipe on Pratamnak Soi 5. Despite numerous phone calls it took Pattaya's 'efficent' Organisations 4 years to fix the problem.
It is estimated that about 5 million liters of water trifled away during that time...
Who pays for the loss? Pattaya Mayor Ittipol Khunpluem and/or his lazy Officials?
Chinese Tourists avoid Thailand
During July 2014 Thailand attracted 342'547 visitors from China, a 25% drop from the same period last year.
According to China's biggest online travel agency not even a 30% discount can attract additional visitors.
The decline in visitors started when General Prayuth Chan-ocha and his Army seized power in the May 22nd Coup d'état.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha fears Hocus-Pocus
Thailand's Prime Minster believes that anti-coup groups are using black magic against him.
To ward off the effects of black magic the General is pouring lustral water over his head...

![]() Patchwork City
Pattaya is a Patchwork City full of Patchwork Streets.
Pattaya offers the absolutely perfect test tracks for car, motorcycle and bicycle designers.
The latest addition to the long list of Patchwork Streets is Jomtien's 2nd Road.
It is Jomtien newest road, opened a few years ago.
The case shows exemplarily that companies engaged to build Pattaya's Roads perhaps know everything else but making quality roads.
Pattaya's City Hall announced during July 2014 that work will start to renew one of Pattaya's badest streets, its Secnd Road, but nothing happened until today.
Somebody tried his workmanship between North Pattaya's Roundabout and Pattaya's Beach Road, but failed.
The new road surface is bumpy too - and will need some remake in a few months time only...
Pattaya's Officials fear Thailand's Army
Pattaya Officials are cleaning up the resort's beaches and vice spots to prevent Thailand's military stepping in as they have done in Phuket and Hua Hin.

Pattaya News Flash September 2014 - The Source
![]() from the City where your Passion is still a Possibility©
Since May 22nd, 2014,
Since August 21st the Junta Leader is also Thailand's Prime Minister
Thailand is under Military Dictatorship The not so healthy Fruits and Vegetables in Thailand
A recent test of products marked with a Q-Mark sign showed disgraceful results:
Surprisingly, the supposedly "safe" and much more expensive products with Q-mark certificates actually contain the highest toxic residues at 87.5% while 62.5% exceed the maximum residue limit.
More than half (53.3%) of the samples from modern-trade retails also exceed the residue limit. Contrary to public perception, fruits and vegetables from traditional wet markets are the safest with only 40% below the required safety standard. A thorough rinsing to wash away the toxic residues is not always the answer. Systemic chemicals such as carbendazim can easily seep into the vegetables and fruits' tissues. It has been revealed that half of the samples - and all of the oranges, apples and strawberries tested - contained a high level of this dangerous fungicide.
In the eyes of most Farangs, Quality Labels here in Thailand are nothing else than a big scam, organized by unscrupulous Profiteers and corrupt Officials.
![]() The highly educated people from a Thai University recommended Pattaya's provincal City Hall to fill up Pattaya's Beach with sacks of sand to stop the erosion.
Beach vendors who know the water as well as the sea and the power of the nature believe that Pattaya's investment is a complete muck up. The nature even has the knowing to degenerate the sacks and to set the sand free, they told me.
![]()
In full contrast to Pattaya, European Beach Resorts do not defenestrate their money.
As predicted by complete laymen and foreign specialists, but not by Thailands's highly educated professors
It took the rain about an hour only to remove the sand from Pattaya's High Technology Beach constructed the Thai way by Pattaya's City Hall and a renowned Thai University for many millions of Baht.
That's the way Pattaya Mayor Ittipol Khunpluem and his Crew waste the money...
![]() ![]() As the pictures published above document, the tropical rain on September 14th destroyed part of Jomtien's Beach too - and manifests the dilettantish work of Pattaya's 'professionals'...
![]() Rusty
It seems a Businessman believed in Pattaya Mayor Ittipol Khunpluem's (empty) pre-election promise to invent bicycle lanes in this still funny resort...

Or click here for more information about Ladyboys. ![]() Terminal One is announced to open soon.
![]() For a few month the area was the home of the failing J.J.Market. We were told that the new Terminal One project will open as Pattaya's new Bus Terminal. A good idea. Let's hope it will survive the project stage.
![]() The two-storey building with its large area offers a lot of space for tour busses, ticket offices and restaurants or cookshops.
![]() New Massage Parlour in Northern Pattaya
During the last week of August Mona Lisa opened on Pattaya's North Road. The High Class Massage Parlour is located between the still ailing Pattaya Bazaar and the newly announced Terminal One and looks a lot more attractive during the night. But every time we tried to shoot a pictures, the venue was covered by tour busses and mini vans. To the left of the entry a few dozens of masseuses are waiting at a fish bowl outside of the building for customers and a bunch of other once inside the new building.
![]() Mona Lisa opens during the evening hours only. During daytime Sukho Thai Massage offers more or less traditional Thai Massage behind the defunct Hong Club. Sukho Thai closes when Mona Lisa opens.
![]() Big Words only from City Hall, Police and Military Junta
During June 2014 Officals from City Hall as well as Pattaya's Police had to join Military Forces to clean up public parking spaces along Pattaya's Beach Road.
As expected the people acted as sandmen only.
The cleanup not even survived the next 24 hours.
At the Northern end of Beach Road the yellow/blue taxi cabs are occupying parkings. The Green Tree Restaurant is converting the Bus Stop to a parking area exclusively for its guests and the aggressive motorcycle taxi drivers and motorcycle lenders along the rest of the road get rough when defending their illegally occupied spaces.
When a farang told them that according the latest publication from police and military the marked spaces are for customers and visitors of Pattaya, a taxi driver shouted back: Who are you? You are nothing else than a stinky farang. You don't have any rights here in Thailand. It's my parking lot. I pay for it.
TiP (This is Pattaya).
![]() Broken words from Police and Military Junta
During July 2014 Pattaya News Flash reported together with almost all other publications in Pattatay that Capt. Sittichai Chamsawat of the 14th Military Circle in Chonburi announced that motorbike taxis will have to adhere to the existing, but currently ignored, Land Transport Department fare regulations.
He told the amazed media that rides of two kilometers or less should not exceed 25 Baht. The third through fifth kilometer adds only 5 Baht each to the fare.
As expected nothing ever changed: For the about 1 km ride from my house to North Pattaya's Bus Terminal I still have to pay 40 Baht. From the Bus Terminal back to my point of living the impertinent motorcycle driver asks 60 (!) baht.
TiP (This is Pattaya).
Wheelchair Path still blocked!
On Soi Phaniatchang, also known as Soi Yume or Soi Carrefour, City Hall spent 3 million Baht for a wheelchair path. Pattaya's large-hearted road users are happy to block the path with their vehicles and say thank you for the new parking lane.
It seems that nobody takes care of the about 850 students from the Soi's Redemptorist Vocational School - not even our lazy police. They close the eyes.
PS: On July 28th Officials from City Hall inspected the area. They discovered that people drive their vehicles to fast in this small Soi and (as documented on this website since June 2014) are parking cars and motorcycles on the wheelchair way. Pattaya's Officials urge the people not to be selfish...

![]() Pay or you will run in Problems...
A few weeks ago members of Thailand's Army told the A Go-Go Club Bosses "Do not pay the Police".
A few days later the Police arrived and warned the very same Bosses "the Army is not going to be around forever - Pay Up or Else..."
On Beach Road, at the entry to Pattaya's Walking Street, motorcyle Taxi Drivers still have to pay the stall money to their boss(es). Nevertheless, the Army still likes to tell the media: It's over...

![]() The happening was announced for August 30th and 31st but already started on August 29th. TiP (This is Pattaya).
Last month Pattaya News Flash reported that the once popular Malibu Showcase is still presenting its travestie shows at the second Road's entry to Soi Post Office.
Passing Soi Post Office a few days ago, we saw that both venues, the Malibu showcase as well as the Beyond Live Music Bar, are closed.
Update September 20th: A no name Travestie Show Bar opened in the room of the former Malibu...
Update September 24th: The no name bar got a name:
![]() Royal Garden's new KFC
A few days ago a completely refurbished KFC Fastfood Outlet opened at Royal Garden Plaza.
The restaurant got a nice and pleasant new look and uses exactly the same chairs as the McDonald's nearby.
It seems that this chairs are the only really reliable seats in this country.
To the right of McDonald's another food outlet opened: Chicken BonChon. It's a Korean Restaurant, but it looks more like a stylish bar and judged (solely) from its nice chairs it's not made for the eternity...
New Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
On Pattaya's Second Rad, between Soi 7 and Soi 8 Casa Rizzi opened as a nice Ristorante Italiano Pizzeria Enoteca.
Enoteca is an Italian word, derived from a Greek word and is used to describe a special type of local or regional wine shop that originated in Italy. A genuine enoteca outside Italy is primarily directed at giving visitors or tourists the possibility to taste these wines at a reasonable fee and possibly to buy them.
Refurbishing survived
Poppy 2, the popular bar at the Beach Road's entry to Soi 8 reopened after a complete refurbishing. The bar even got a stair to a small balcony. It is expected that Revellers can surveying the life on Pattaya's Beach Promenade...
![]() It took a few weeks until the venue got its new sign on September 10th. Until then it was more or less a 'no name' bar.
TiP (This is Pattaya).
Uncle replaces Moon
The Blue Moon Bar on Naklua Road, located near the entry to Soi Photisarn - or just across the Fat Aunt Restaurant (still Pattaya's best Bargain Eatery) - had a short life. Since a few weeks the venue is occupied by a Steak & Thai Food Restaurant called Lung (uncle).
Kitchen, simply Kitchen
Near the Southern end of Beach Road and just across the McDonald's Fastfood Outlet a Restaurant and Bistro opened with the most ingenious name of Kitchen. The ad claims it is serving foods from its Thai and International Cuisine as well as Smoothie and Coffee.

Spicy Girl A Go-Go
On September 12th Spicy Girl replaced the failed Guugle Club. It's a second floor A Go-Go Bar near the entry to Champion A Go-Go Club.
New A Go-Go Club opened
In the rooms of the former L'Italiano Restaurant the Infinity A Go-Go opened on September 8th, 2014.
Go-Go Mania on Walking Street
Just across the new Infinity A Go-Go Club is Sweethearts A Go-Go located and to the left of that popular Club works are on the way to create another new A Go-Go Club on Pattaya's famous Walking Street.
It seems Pattaya's visitors of Walking Street can't get enough of this kind of stuff for their eyes...
Nevertheless, Halo, XO and Rhino - all located on Walking Street - are still on the block. If you like to participate in that incredible and unexplainable A Go-Go race: Open your wallet and clear your account!
No Police
City Hall's very own Thappraya 2310 security organisation pitched its tent between 7-ELEVEN and the P72 Hotel, or just across the notorius Lucifer Disco.
The Thappraya 2310 looks like a Police Organisation but isn't one. It's a simple security troupe, but equiped with the latest means of transportion.
Somebody seems to have to much money in that hall...
Update September 20th: Today the Apelsin Restaurant could be found open again, this time with new furniture in a new and definitively more pleasant arrangement.
