The Junta doesn't like this motive on shirts
In Chiang Mai Military Officers are already scouring every market in the city to search for the red buffalo t-shirts.
The buffalo symbolize the Red Shirt movement, the cockroach on the shirt refers to the RedShirts' nickname for the Democrat Party.
According to the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), the shirts violate the reconciliation.
As far as we know (until the time of writing), the following motivs do not (yet) violate the reconciliation.

Bangkok politician Sathorn Muangsiri, a Democrat Party city councillor representing Bang Khunthian district, admitted on Monday that he and his relatives had their names printed on garbage bins provided by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), but claimed that it was all in the public interest.
Printing of his name on the bins did not violate any regulation. Politicians did so in many districts because they wanted local people to know them.

Without registration, the fee our lovely police collect is 500 Baht.

![]() Same Game again:
Police raided Mike's two Outlets
Yesterday Morning our Police raided (once again) Mike Shopping Mall and Mike Department Store on Pattaya's Beach Road.
The shops are known to sell counterfeit branded items since decades, and from time to time our lovely police visite them to 'combat' the crime, to size some items and to arrest the resellers.
This time Police Major General Sanit announced the seizure of 3'100 branded items, with an estimated retail value of 2.5 Million Baht, and the arrest of 21 people.
It's the same stupid game as usual: Police arrest the 'small people' only, not the men controlling and/or managing the criminal business.
As long as our Police doesn't shut down the outlets completely they show the entire world that Thailand isn't really interested to stop the production and the distribution of counterfeit goods. Mostly the confiscated goods reappear within the next 24 hours.
The General already confirmed that further raids (of the same stupidity) will take place in Pattaya.
Surat Mekavarakul, the CEO of the Mike Group of Companies, is a honourable member of Pattaya's Society. He not only runs a the two shops on Pattaya Beach Road but also a handful of hotels in Pattaya and Bangkok as well as Mike Orchid Villas.
Mike's outlets do not distribute the fake goods themself, they simply sublease the outlets to the offenders...

Pattaya's Police
was(?) Corrupt Pattaya's new acting Superintendent Police Colonel Supathee Boonkrong claimed during yesterday's meeting at City Hall that corruption and other bad practices is a thing of the past at Pattaya Police Station.
Police Colonel Supathee (also known as Supatee) is also the Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police.
He was assigned to the position by the Acting Region 2 Police Commissioner because of his good record of solving crimes and working within the confines of the Law.
Colonel Supathee claimed that the previous team of senior officers at Pattaya Police station were corrupt and did not provide the standard of service expected by a Police Officer.
A special focus was placed on the work of the Traffic Police who will be expected to enforce Traffic Laws to a higher standard and will be expected to set-up higher numbers of checkpoints around the City without inconveniencing innocent motorists by creating traffic jams, Colonel Supathee said.
We have a few suggestions:

On June 14th at about 00:45 Police raided Ginza I and Ginza II on Pattaya's Walking Street.
The two A Go-Go Clubs just changed their names. Until a few days they were known as Ginza respectively The Glasshouse.
Obviously the Police was looking for underaged dancers and hostesses as well as for people on drugs. They also checked the licences.
Mr. Praphan Prathoomchomphu, the Deputy District Chief, said Police found 4 female employees who were under 18 years old and 14 male and female employees who had consumed drugs.
Moreover, the licence from one venue has already expired.
Police arrested Mr. Karn Arphakittiwong and Mrs. Phimanong Banchuen, the 'caretakers' of the two clubs, and sent them to Pattaya City Police Station on Soi 9 for further prosecution.
Mr. Praphan Prathoomchomphu ordered the closure of the two venues.
He warned entrepreneurs of every kind of entertainment venue that hiring under the aged staff is illegal. If there is any type of sexual service being offered it is classed as human trafficking and the venue owners will be punished fully to the extent of the law, he said.
Update (June 14th, 21:00):
Both A Go-Go Clubs opened tonight. Much Ado About Nothing? TiP (This is Pattaya). On June 28th Police and Navy closed Soho Square's Flex Club for at least 30 days. ![]() A recent survey by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) says that the quality of life of Thai workers is the worst in six years.
![]() The survey focused mainly on workers who earn less than 15'000 Baht/month.
![]() Average debt per household was estimated at 106'216 Baht, a 7.9% surge from 98'428 Baht in 2013 and against 87'399 Baht in 1999.
Household debt had seen a significant rise since 2012, when the government raised the monthly salary of state workers and the daily minimum wage, as most workers with increased income started creating more debts particularly to buy residences and vehicles... TiT - This is Thailand.
Update June 1st, 2014
On May 31st, 2014, Thailand's National Credit Bureau (NCB) released its latest data to the press.
The NCB's studies show that on average, a Thai person earns 25'405 Baht a month and spends 19'259 Baht, or 75.8 per cent, on monthly expenses.
Debts average stays at 159'492 Baht per household, so at least 6'144 Baht needs to be saved per month to cover debt payments.
The rate of debts to income tends to rise for those earning less than 10'000 Baht per month, or about 1.6 million households in this country, Surapol Opasatien, NCB's chief executive officer, claims.
In 2009, about 45 per cent of households earning 10'000 Baht were in debt. For 2013 the number stood at 61 per cent.
The 3.7 million households earning 10'000 - 30'000 Baht per month spent up to 24 per cent of their total income covering debts in 2009, which rose to 34 per cent in 2013.
Surapol Opasatien said a rate of 40 per cent would still be acceptable, but if this figure kept rising, it could become a problem.
Problems arise mainly from auto and personal loans, not residential loans, Surapol Opasatien claims.
Update June 4th, 2014
Thailand's National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) reports that more Thai households were likely to default as non-performing consumer loans were soaring.
According to the NESDEB's latest data, 2013 each Thai household earned 25'194 Baht per month on average.
The income rose by 4.1%.
The expenses of each household stood at 19'061 Baht, a rise by 4.7%.
The average debt of each household was up by 9.95% and stood at 163'087 Baht, the NESDEB says.
More than 8 million households could not afford their expenses and debt repayments.
