Spike goes Mimosa
Spike from Pattaya Days visited Mimosa, the expensive City of Love and Ladyboys, with his camera and the sister of his wife.
Spike goes Sheep - or vice versa?
Spike from Pattaya Days visited Pattaya's Sheep Farm with his camera and the sister of his wife.
Property Market down
Thailand's Property Market was hit hard in the first quarter of 2014.
The sales plunged by 43%!
Say thank you to Suthep Thaugsuban and his People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) as well as to Abhisit Vejjajiva and his Democrat Party.
Thai International follows KFC's footsteps
After a mid-flight brawl earlier this month THAI Airways International (THAI) announced the airline's Company Safety Committee (CSC) is considering phasing out the metallic cutlery on all of the airline's routes.
The committee agreed to begin by piloting the use of plastic flatware on THAI's Bangkok-Los Angeles flights.
The decision is based on information about possible terrorist acts and the number of in-flight brawls. We want to prevent steel forks or knives from being used in personal attacks, a spokesman from the airlines said.
New Problems for Malaysia Airlines
A Malaysia Airlines jet with 159 passengers and 7 crew members on board had to abandon a flight to India because of landing gear trouble.
After the main landing gear apparently burst upon take-off, air controllers from Kuala Lumpur International Airport ordered the captain to turn back to the airport after tire debris was found on the runway.
The plane left the airport on Sunday night en route to Bangalore in southern India.
Last month a Malaysia Airline passenger jet with 239 people on board completely disappeared on an overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
Laos tops Thailand
Luang Prabang, the former capital of Laos, announced it will start its festive activities to celebrate the traditional new year on April 10th.
Luang Prabang's festival is the most popular event for locals and foreigners.
Like Songkran in Thailand, Laotians celebrate their new year with a water splashing festival.
Laos announced a three-day official holiday starting April 14th, but Luang Prabang's Songkran will happen during a full 10-day periode. The City tops even Pattaya's 7-day splash...
No Bargains at Tukcom
Do not think to get some bargains at Pattaya's Tukcom.
In Bangkok's Pantip and/or MBK Centers you can buy the very same goods 15 - 20% cheaper!
![]() High-Tech Pattaya
It needs a small thunderstorm only and Pattaya's High-Tech Center, known as Tukcom, is without power.
On Saturday, April 5th, most shops at the popular IT-center had to close during whole the day. Escalators and elevators didn't work anymore and only a few shops on the 1st and 2nd floor got some power.
That's High-Tech in Pattaya: It's not even waterproof...
Megalomania
From March 26th until April 6th, 2014, the 35th Bangkok International Motor Show, dubbed as The Greatest Show in Asia, happened.
The slogan is a complete exaggeration. It was one of the smallest show I ever visited. Even smaller than all the years before.
Audi, Seat, Skoda and all the French & Italian car producers were absence. I missed Dongfeng (DFM) and Chery from China , Proton from Malaysia and Tata from India too.
Motorcycle distributors like Vespa, Zongshen, Tiger, GPX and Stallions weren't on Asia's greatest exhibition...
I had the idea that most visitors were interested more in (artificial looking) Thai ladies than in vehicles.
Wheresoever Thai visitors could spot a model (?), they pulled out their expensive cameras.
Toyota and Honda presented more of these unnatural looking Girls (and Ladyboys) than vehicles.
Scam
A TV station just broadcasted a report about Bangkok's 'reputable' Motorcycle Taxis.
For a few minutes drive the reporter usually has to pay 60 Baht to 'his' drivers.
Choosing other motorcycle taxis standing nearby, the drivers asked between 200 and 250 Baht to drive him to the very same location...
It's just like Pattaya.
For a ride from my house to North Pattaya's Bus Terminal I usually have to pay 40 Baht.
Yesterday the friendly drivers at the Bus Terminal asked first 100 Baht, than 80 Baht. Finally I had to pay 60 Baht for the ride back to my home. For 40 Baht I have to walk home myself they told me.
The Baht Bus drivers first asked 200 Baht, then 150 Baht. The LED banner at the Terminal tells 20 Baht to Beach Road. My destination is about half way only...
Cutthroats.
![]() The Comedians from Soi 9 launched another Show
Pattaya Police Colonel Supachai Phuikaewkhum, Pattaya's Police Chief and currently the city's most prominent photo model (he even tops Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome), ordered his lazy men to improve the image of the City and to arrest prostitutes and other suspected criminal elements on Pattaya Beach.
The City's Glamour Boy is concerned about the fact that Pattaya will only be known for its sex industry and crime and not for its beautiful but totally imaginary beaches when the ASEAN Economic Community starts in 2015.
Arrested persons were fined 100 Baht and sent back to their living and/or working place(s).
A few days before the very same clowns arrested ladies and men providing water, café and ice cream to Beach Promenade's visitors.
To get their target our lovely Police fined them 500 Baht/each.
On ordinary days the same Policemen use the service of this vendors too...
Pattaya's Police and our City Hall still not realize that their behavior is nothing else than a burlesque and entertains the rest of this world.
PS: The Bus Stop areas on Pattaya's Beach Road are still occupied by any kind of vehicles.
Baht Busses can't use them.
Public parking lots are illegally occupied by motorcycle taxi drivers, motorcycle rental services and foodvendors. Our Police are ignoring the offenders.
It needs some work to get rid of this pack. An activity most officials obviously hate like the pestilence.
2nd PS.: When I shot the pictures, a Ladyboy stoped his/her motorcycle and smiled at me: You like him too?
He is soooo sexy in his uniform. I love him! He smells so good! It seems he use a very expensive perfume, the Shemale said with his sonor voice.
He can arrest me every day and I will give him every service he asks for free, sHE said, started the motorcycle and disappeared in the traffic - before I had the time to answer his/her question.
Pattaya Police launched it's own Perfume!
Pattaya One, the City's #1 Crime Newspage, reports that Pattaya Police Colonel Supachai Phuikaewkhum, the tearful chief of Pattaya Police Station on Soi 9, launched his very own perfume to finance a complete reconstruction of his sleazy workplace.
But the best
is yet to come: We update NightWalker's News Page as soon as we get new information.

Pattaya News Flash April 2014 - The Source
![]() from the City where your Passion is still a Possibility©
Pattaya's actual Motto
![]() Songkran, Thailand's New Year, also known as the Water Splashing Festival, is celebrated between April 13th and April 15th almost everywhere in this country.
But not in Pattaya: In this Fun City you got wet from April 13th until April 19th. It climaxed on April 18th in Naklua and April 19th in Pattaya. The ladies on Soi 7 started splashing water on April 12th.
On April 18th and 19th Pattaya's Beach Road from the Dolphin Roundabout to Walking Street was closed for traffic from 08:00 to 20:00.
Police told that 'water fighters' should avoid using PVC water pipes.
City Hall's water trucks were available in front of Amari Orchid Resort & Tower, on Soi 4- & 5, at the Tropicana Hotel, the Central Road intersection, the Hard Rock Hotel, on Soi 9, Soi 12, Soi 13/1 and on Soi Pattayaland 1.
About 1'000 police officers and volunteers tried to provide security on the last 2 days of our City's Songkran Water Splashing Festival.
Pattaya Police announced that Pattaya Beach Road will be closed to traffic and the Police also imposed a ban on the sale and consumption of Alcohol along Pattaya Beach Road on April 18th and 19th. Police said that the use and sale of Nylon Water Pipes is banned and the Police will arrest those caught selling and using them.
It was the usual Blah-Blah from our (obviously stupid) Officials: Smirnoff, Singha and Chang sold their beers and spirits all along Beach Road, even in front of Pattaya's Police Headquaters at the entry to Soi 9.
![]() Heavy Rain inaugurated Pattaya's Songkran Festival on April 12th and flooded parts of Pattaya. Obviously you don't need any water pipes to get wet in Pattaya.
Songkran: Where Bars are, People are splashing water.
![]() At the beginning of this year the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), a UK think tank, claimed that the number of overweight and obese adults in the developing world has almost quadrupled to around one billion since 1980.
According to the Institute's report, one in three people worldwide is now overweight. The result is a huge increase in heart attacks, strokes and diabetes.
Clever, joined-up policies are needed, the ODI says.
Therefore iScientist™, NightWalker and Pattaya's most famous Cartoonist Mike Baird decided to publish their ultimate and absolutely revolutionary solution for one of this world's main problem:
Let's look back first.
At the beginning of the Industrial Revolution very few people could be called obese, but with the introduction of the automobile by Karl Benz and later by Henry Ford the picture changed very fast. The chiefs got fat. But why? They purchased a car and abandoned to march to their workingplaces.
And today?
Today the workers are fat and the chiefs are slim and healthy. Why? The superiors drive still their cars to their workingplaces, but after work - or even during the working hours - they are visiting Fitness clubs or are using a bicycle to enhance their fitness, burn the fat and are improving their health. And what does their workforce? They hit home as fast as possible to enjoy the latest soap opera with a bottle (or more) of beer.
It's especially visible here in Thailand. About one third of Thailand's population already owns a car and almost everybody runs a motorcycle. The motorcycles as well as the cars usually are parked just in front of the door. To cover the 100m to the next 7-ELEVEN Thais use their vehicles, they don't walk. The result you can see every evening on Pattaya's Beach Promenade: About 50% of the Beauties are already overweight. 25 years ago walking at Pattaya's Beach was a pleasure, it was almost impossible to discover a fat service girl.
Not McDonald's nor Pizza Hut are responsible for today's obesity.
It's the peoples laziness. The lack of exercises is responsible for today's overweight problems. Therefore there is only one solution to tackle the problem:
Ban all kinds of motorized vehicles!
Let the people walk and obesity will disappear within weeks.
The air will improve as will the health of all citizens of this world. Stop the Press!
Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome just told his City Hall that's the best idea I ever heard since I installed my flying Dolphins on Pattaya's North Road and on Bali Hai. Starting from April 1st, 2015, Pattaya will ban all traffic from our streets. I will transfer the city into the world's first pedestrian friendly Beach-less Beach Resort. We will get rid of all this unscrupulous Mini Van and Baht Bus drivers, the scamming Jet Ski vendors and all that stinky tourist busses. I will transform Bali Hai's fully automatic parking nightmare into a fabulous 24hrs nightclub and I will get millions of Baht from Thailand's Government to realize the sh*t recommended by Pattaya News Flash and its contributors on April 1st.
Stop Obesity in Pattaya.
Pattaya's would be Bus Stops
![]() We don't do our duties. We do not enforce the Bus Stop regulation. We are lazy. Everybody knows it. They didn't ask us if we like the Bus Stops, therefore we use the Bus Stop areas to park our own vehicles. Basta! our Police says.
![]() Pattaya Mail points the finger on Pattaya's pedestrian-crossing traffic lights, another absurd waste of money. Obviously installed to fill up somebody's pockets - as the still not working Bali Hai Parking nightmare.
Update April 9th, 2014:
Pattaya Daily News reports today that our Police arrested Taxi Drivers occupying Bus Stops on Beach Road.
![]() During the evening hours the Green Tree Restaurant is allocating the Bus Stop area as privat parking area for its customers - apparently with impunity...
Out of Order
![]() 86% of all CCTV Cameras in Pattaya are Out of Order Pattaya Police Superintendent Col. Supachai Puikaewkam had to reveal to Bangkok Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Maj. Gen. Adul Narongsak.
From Pattaya's 35 cameras just 5 are working. We don't have the money to repair or replace them, the Superintendent said.
If Pattaya's lazy Police would do their duties and fine the parking and red light violators they would have enough of money to repair or replace the cameras.
Pattaya's Police tell what's legal or not - à discretion
![]() Summertime is Fairtime in Pattaya
![]() People like to play Bingo - but is it legal?
![]() People like to play this kind of Dart. Sometimes it's illegal, sometimes it seems to be legal.
According to the law all kind of gambling is illegal in Thailand. (The only exception is the state-run Lottery). But Pattaya's Police act incalculable. At the end of March people could play the games unmolested. 2013 Pattaya's Police and their anti-gambling unit arrested the owners of the boothes and confiscated all their goods.
myLady™ explains: If you support Pattaya's scrubby Police with a few thousand Baht this kind of gaming is 'legal' - otherwise it's 'illegal'.
Same happens if you play cards with friends at your home: If you pay, Police do not prosecute the case - otherwise they will arrest you.
It's Up to You and your wallet!
Pattaya's Police are working like a Police in a Banana Republic.
![]() A visitor asks: Why Pattaya's Police do not wear helmets?
myLady™ answers: Pattaya's Police has nothing to protect. ![]() Police Colonel Supachai Phuikaewkhum: Can be seen everywhere on Pattaya's Billboards and on advertisment cars cruising on Pattaya's Streets.
myLady™ says: Everybody has to know who's the boss here in Pattaya's Soi 9.
![]() Pattaya Soi 9: Pattaya's famous Police Station got a new painting.

It's not true: The tourists using the pontoons as footpath or playground are stupid. The picture above shows, the modification doesn't help. We recommend to place signs along the Beach: Use the buoys at your own risk!
Update: City Hall says:
Pattaya officials told the press that the city's new swimming-area buoys, the red-and-white floats, were tested strenuously. They blamed buoy-related accidents on drunk, careless and out-of-shape tourists.
Pattaya police blamed a recent drowning on such behavior.
The buoys were not designed as platforms on which tourists could walk, Pattaya City Hall and engineering experts at Chulalongkorn and Ramkhamhaeng universities say.Pattaya is waiting for you
![]() Pattaya is missing the tourists Suthep Thaugsuban and his anti-democratic People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) are driving away.
![]() Up from 30 Baht...
The Fat Aunt on Naklua Road: Still Pattaya's #1 Bargain!. Please CLICK for the address! No Inflation! Now 1 Baht less than before!
![]() 20 pastilles (40 grams) of Scott's Vitamin C are announced to cost 49 Baht at Tesco/Lotus. Its 'Jumbo' pack contains 50 pastilles (100 grams) and costs 149 Baht.
Be aware: You pay 22% more for the BigPack!
It seems that the product managers of Thailand's Supermarkets know that nobody in this highly educated country knows cross-multiplication calculations.
![]() ![]() ![]() I don't care. I ignore all regulations. I'm the King of the Road.
![]() Soi 8: Premier Club, also known as Club 23 or Skydive's Coyote Club closed once again.
![]() An all new hotel, dubbed as The Siamese Hotel (North Pattaya), is in the work on Pattaya's 3rd Road, between North Road and Soi Photisarn, actually far away from any Baht Bus route.
![]() This coping slab, made from 'high quality' concret, didn't withstand the weight of a car. It was placed on Central Road's Paloma Meeting Place a few weeks ago and broke a day after Pattaya's Music Festival. It's just what happens if you do your business with friends only, but not with professionals.
Update:
A few days after we published this picture, the cover was replaced, with something that seems to be of the very same quality. Obviously people will never learn...![]() Rattanakorn renamed its struggling Blue Rahtree Beer Bar Complex. The venue is now dubbed as Boom Boom Bar Complex. The area of the failed Rehab A Go-Go Club is now occupied by three open air bars.
![]() Pattaya's MBK Center on Second Road is still empty and perhaps it's even better this way: As you can see, the people are preparing a foodcourt with the expressive name Foodcord. Instead of a Pizza you will get an original Thai Pisa.
![]() Bistro Wine & Café opened on Pattaya's Second Road and replaces New Plaza's former ninety-four coffee shop. In addition to Café and Wine the beautiful Bistro serves some excellent foods.
PattayaSweethearts just published pictures from a new Short-time Bungalow Hotel located in a small Soi off South Pattaya's Thepprasit Road.
PattayaSweethearts also published pictures from an upcountry Short-time Motel located somewhere in this oversexed country.
![]() Venus Lounge, the former Gentleman's Club located on Pattaya's 3rd Road, announces to reopen (again) as Venus Love Lounge.
![]() Ducati Pattaya on the move: Ducati moved its showroom from Pattaya's 3rd Road to Central Road. The new outlet is located between BigC Extra! and Foodland.
The former Best Western Hotel at Pattaya's Roundabout changed it's name to Best Bella Pattaya.
![]() PattayaSweethearts reports that Luna Massage on Pattaya's Central Road closed. The venue is on the block.
![]() Sexy A Go-Go, the club located on Soi 7, reopened. The bar was closed since the last week of March 2014.
Poised to continue
Paradise A Go-Go reopened on April 5th after a successful rejuvenating cure.
The club was closed since February 14th, 2014. Poised to continue
Apelsin and Deja Vu, a restaurant and a Russian Ladies dance club, both located on the ailing Soho Square and announced as the World's Super Clubs(!), had to close during the first week of April. They run less than 2 resp. 1 month(s) only. Soho Square doesn't seems to be the place for successful businesses.
![]() Harem 2, the dependence of Soi Diamond's Flatrate Harem, opened on Walking Street and welcomes not only bactrian camels....
The Stone's House opened near the entry of Pattaya's most popular street. With it's hot (and loud) beats produced by a live band it will be a strong competitor to many of Walking Streets clubs, but especially for the Hot Tuna Rock Bar and the Utopia Rock House.
![]() XO Club, located at the entry to New Living Dolls One, closed again. According to advertisements on a local TV channel the club is on the block.
Poised to continue
![]() Work is on the way on the back end of Jomtien's popular Rompho Bar Complex to create a Bangkok style Buffet Resaurant.
![]() Rectification: Some media reported that Jomtien's one and only A Go-Go Club, known as We Are No 1 A Go-Go, has gone dark. As our picture shows, the contrary is true: The bar is still going 'strong'.
Poised to continue
They never get enough
A marching band from Satriwithaya 2 School ordered a 3.1 million Baht trip to a competition in the Netherlands on March 29th, but they didn't had the money to cover expenses associated with their trip.
What they do?
They bagged a 3.1 million Baht donation from billionaire businessman Tan Passakornnatee. The generous billionaire meet the band with a cheque for 3.1 million Baht. He said he would give them the cash, but scolded the band for the way they went about asking for the money. This is not good. It's not right. If you want something, you have to go to [relevant agencies] and show them what you can do, he said. Since you've come this far, I'll give you the money so you can make your dreams come true. I don't want the money back. But from now on, don't do this again. I will not give out money in this manner again. This will be my first and last, he added.
Shortly after the school got the money, Anusorn Pornneramit, the trainer and director of Max Percussion Theatre, said the marching band had paid for air tickets to the Netherlands but they now need another 8 million Baht to compete in the 2014 WGI Percussion World Championships in America on April 10-12, 2014.
The band has 50 members and 17 trainers. The total cost of air tickets for the America trip should come to around 4.5 million Baht, while expenses including food and accommodation, will require a further 3.5 million Baht.
I'm sure, you know similar incidents - from your Thai girlfriend. At least you know now, where they are learning the shenanigans. It seems to be part of Thailand's Education System.

Hi-Fi Phone
MediaTek, Taiwan's #1 for Smartphone and tablet based CPUs, announced that it teamed up with Wolfson Microelectronics to produce the world's first High Fidelity Smartphone chips.
The new chips will allow smartphones and tablets to have 24-bit 192kHz high resolution audio playback and ambient noise cancellation.
Huawei, the Highflyer
China-based vendor Huawei Device announced that it will ship 80 million smartphones globally in 2014.
It already has sold eight million units of its flagship smartphone, the Honor 3C.
Huawei launched the Honor 3C at the end of 2013 and expects to sell 20 million in 2014.
The Downturn of Tablets
Global tablet shipments drop 30% to only 58.56 million units in the first quarter of 2014.
Shipments of Apple's iPads suffered most.
But there was a strong demand for Samsung, Lenovo and Asustek's Windows-based models.
The Comeback of Intel
Our correspondent in China reports that chips from Intel and Mediatek become favorites in China's tablet industry.
In the past Allwinner Technology, Amlogic and Rockchip were the favorites of China's manufacturers.
Since Intel slashed its prices the manufacturers
are jumping on Intel's bandwagon.
A 7-inch tablet solution with an Intel CPU is currently priced at about US$20, the 7.85-inch one around US$27.
Add about US$20 for a LTE module.
The ex-factory price for a 3G tablet using MediaTek's solution is currently at about US$40.
Free Windows OS
Our source in China tells us that Microsoft announced in April free licensing for smart devices with a 9-inch and below display.
Demand for the new desktop Windows operating system has been weak because Microsoft has placed its focus on strengthening Windows 8's touchscreen control.
It is causing an inconvenience for users who are using mice and keyboards.
Google goes with HTC
According to our source in China Google will launch a new Nexus tablet during the third quarter of this year.
Google's new tablet will have a 8-inch 4:3 display and will be produced by HTC.
Google partnered with Asustek for the first two Google tablets.
It is anticipated that the Nexus8 will be Google's last tablet release.
![]() Vinyl revival
There is a global boom in vinyl record sales and GPO (England) as well as manufacturers in China and Japan are jumping on the bandwagon.
Mini's are coming
HTC announced the HTC One (M8) mini.
Samsung prepares the launch of its Galaxy S5 mini.
Sony Mobile will bring the Xperia Z2 Compact to the shelves.
The mini versions featuring small-size displays will hit the shops at the end of the second quarter of 2014.
In addition to the Minis, some brands will also launch ultra- or max-versions of their latest flagship models featuring large-size displays...
Intel attracts China's Cheap Charlys
Prices of Intel's mainstream quad-core tablet CPUs have dropped to below US$5, which are almost on par with those offered by China-based chipset suppliers such as Rockchip Electronics and Allwinner Technology and even below those available from Nvidia, Qualcomm and MediaTek, our source in China reports.
To encourage China-based tablet makers to use Intel's CPUs, the chipset vendor is offering assistance in terms of design, technology and marketing.
Therefore, the number of Intel-based tablets is likely to expand.
Intel-based tablets are supporting Windows 8 and/or the Android Operating Systems (OS).
Nokia's Windows 8 Phones get cheaper!
With the arrrival of Nokia's Android phone, Microsoft had to slash the price(s) for it's Windows Phone(s) too:
Nokia's Lumina 520 is now available for 4'700 Baht or less.
It is anticipated that near the end of this year Windows 8 Phones will sell cheaper than branded Android Phones.
Nokia's Android Phone in Pattaya
Nokia X, the company's first Android Smartphone arrived in Pattaya.
The Android powered Nokia has a look and feel like its (not very popular) Window 8 based counterpart and costs about 3'990 Baht.
